Flour - 1,400 g

Eggs - 7 pcs.

Fresh milk - 300 ml at room temperature

Sugar - 450 g

Live yeast - 65-70 years

Oil - 250 ml

Salt - a pinch

Vanilla - 3 pcs.

The yeast is dissolved in 100 ml of fresh milk, to which is added 1 tsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. flour. A homogeneous mixture should be obtained with a density similar to fluffy pancakes.

The mixture is allowed to ferment at room temperature and wrapped in cling film or a towel. Beat the eggs and sugar with the remaining milk, vanilla and salt. Add the thickened mixture to them and stir.

Pour a kilo of flour into a kneading bowl and pour the egg mixture into the well you have shaped. Add to the dough and oil. Knead the Easter cake dough until it becomes tougher, cover it and leave it to rise at room temperature for 3 hours.

Once it rises, shape your Easter cake and, if desired, sprinkle it with grated chocolate, Turkish delight slices, raisins, nuts.

If you want your Easter cake to be without additives, lightly grease it with melted butter and beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake your Easter cake in a preheated 150 degree oven for 40 minutes.
