When we talk about the preparation of pasta temptations with potato flour, it should be mentioned that we are not talking about the real potato flour, which is known mainly to people who follow gluten-free diets, or potato starch, which is quite different from potato flour. Let's take a closer look at the idea.

Potato flour is a finished product made from dried potatoes, but is found in very few places in Bulgarian stores and is quite expensive. In this case, it is important to be able to make our own pasta such as pizza, bread or even cakes from potato dough, which we have prepared ourselves. Here are some interesting ideas:

1. Potato breads

Necessary products: 500 g flour potatoes, 125 g sugar, 150 g butter, 2 tsp salt, 2 eggs, 2 sachets of dry yeast, 1 tbsp oil, 850-900 g flour, 350 ml warm water

Method of preparation: The washed potatoes are put in boiling water for about 30 minutes, then peeled and crushed in a press. Add sugar, melted butter, salt and eggs and mix very well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Dissolve the yeast in half the water, pour over the potatoes and add the flour and the rest of the water to form a soft dough.

In a greased bowl, leave the dough to rest for 1 hour, after which it is formed into loaves (you may need several trays), which are also left to rise again for 30 minutes in the heat. Bake in a preheated 190 degree oven and are ready to serve with jam or other jam.

2. German potato cake

Necessary products: 1 boiled potato, 2 eggs, 1/2 grated lemon peel, 50 g semolina, 50 g finely ground almonds, 100 g sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tbsp water, 1 pinch of salt, powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method of preparation: In a bowl, mix the eggs, water, lemon zest and sugar and beat with a mixer for 3 minutes. Add the grated potatoes and almonds. Cornmeal is mixed with salt and baking powder, stirred and added to the potato mixture.

Mix everything until you get a dough, which is poured into a preheated oven at 170 degrees and baked until pink. Wait for it to cool a bit, sprinkle with powdered sugar and it is ready to serve.
