In the village of Dolno Izvorovo, located in the municipality of Kazanlak, a record apple weighing 750 grams was picked. The proud owner of the apple record holder is Mincho Georgiev.

The municipal official is determined to apply for the Guinness Book of Records after seeing the huge apple in his garden.

Apart from its impressive weight, the apple also impresses with its flawless appearance and very pleasant aroma.

The owner of the huge apple states that he has not treated it with chemicals, nor does he treat the other fruit trees in his personal garden. The fruits are ecologically clean, and the last spraying against pests was in June.

Mincho Georgiev states that this year he has grown a rich harvest of apples, as he spends a lot of his free time taking care of the fruit trees.

Some time ago, Plamen Kolarski from Blagoevgrad also intended to apply for the Guinness Book of Records with an apple weighing 742 grams.

The circumference of the unusual apple was 43 centimeters and its height was 14 centimeters. With the new harvest, the man surpassed his previous record of a Jonathan apple, which weighed 720 grams.

The fruit tree that bears the giant fruit is located in the village of Logodazh and last fall gave birth to an apple weighing 540 grams. Eight years ago, he set another record after the ranch's fertile land gave him 1,420 grams of potatoes.

For 22 years Kolarski has had an orchard where he grows about 40 varieties of apples, a dozen species of plums and other fruit trees. Kolarski also takes care of asparagus, chokeberry, as well as Peruvian physalis, from which he makes jam.

From apples he produces for personal needs and his friends the valuable apple vinegar, useful for health.

So far, the heaviest apple, measured by Guinness World Records, weighed 1 kilogram and 849 grams. The apple was grown by the Japanese Chisato Iwazaki, and the record was set in 2005. Since then, no one has been able to boast of such a heavy apple.
