New exotic foods will soon appear on the menu of kids from kindergartens and nurseries. The products, which are a revolution in the current children's recipe book, will be approved in early 2018.

Among them will be chia, quinoa, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and other so-called superfoods. This became clear from a statement by Prof. Stefka Petrova - a specialist from the National Center for Public Health and Analysis, quoted by bTV.

According to her, there will certainly be changes in the new collection of recipes, which will be available in nurseries and kindergartens, keeping the amounts of salt and sugar used to be smaller.

The new food products will be something like an alternative to the traditional dishes for the country, as their price is higher and this will inevitably affect the budget in children's institutions.

The new collection of recipes will change the weight of the portions that the kids will receive. It is planned to increase the amount of food, as many parents complain that their children can not be satisfied with only 130 g of a dish. In addition, the new menu of kindergartens and nurseries will not include fried dishes, sausages and sausages.

Regarding the eco-friendly products that will be introduced in children's centers, Prof. Petrova reminded that they are a rich source of valuable nutrients and children should know them well.

And although the inclusion of chia, avocado, quinoa and other superfoods in children's recipes is the idea of parents and nutritionists, it turns out that the proposal meets its opponents.

According to some opinions, the idea is not good, because these cultures are not typical for our latitudes and it is possible that the body of children does not accept them well.
