The price of a kilogram of oranges has fallen in the last week on wholesale markets, according to the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets. However, the wholesale price index rose by 0.42 points.
The most significant decrease was reported in citrus fruits, as a kilogram of oranges fell by 12.8% and is now sold for BGN 1.43 on wholesale markets. The price of lemons has also decreased by 4.3% and their current values reach BGN 2.47 per kilogram wholesale.
The prices for apples and tangerines have remained the same and they are offered for BGN 1.25 per kilogram and BGN 1.70 per kilogram, respectively.
Greenhouse cucumbers have risen in price by 4.8% and reach BGN 2.20 per kilogram. Potatoes, which are already traded for BGN 0.58 per kilogram wholesale, have also risen in price.
An increase in the values was also reported for the peppers, as the red peppers are already sold for BGN 1.88 per kilogram, and the green ones - for BGN 1.27 per kilogram.
The price of cow's butter continues to go up, as for the last week its values have jumped by 0.5%, and a package of 125 grams is sold for BGN 2.25. Cow cheese has also risen in price by 0.5%, and its current wholesale price is BGN 6.13 per kilogram.
The price of frozen chicken meat has also risen, which is already being traded for BGN 3.86 per kilogram wholesale. The price of flour type 500 is 1.2% higher than last week and sells for BGN 0.83 per kilogram.
