Oranges have risen 12.5 percent over the past week. Their wholesale price is already BGN 1.08 per kilogram. Tangerines are also sold more expensive by 10 percent, and their price per kilogram wholesale is BGN 1.49. This is shown by the data of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets.
And lemons are among the fruits that have risen in price over the past week. A kilogram of citrus fruits is already sold for BGN 2.36 on the wholesale markets, as the price increase is 7.3%.
The high prices are due to the blockade of the Greek-Bulgarian border, Trud newspaper writes.
Bananas are the only fruits that are still sold at the old prices. A kilogram of wholesale fruit can be found for BGN 2.38.
The price of the minced meat, whose kilogram is traded for BGN 4.7, is still unchanged. The palm oil cheese has kept its levels from last week and is still available for BGN 2.43 per kilogram.
Tomatoes already have 5% higher prices and their weight is now traded wholesale for BGN 1.76. Imported cucumbers, on the other hand, are cheaper by 5% and sell for BGN 2.34 per kilogram.
The price of apples has dropped by 3.8% and they are sold for BGN 1.02 per kilogram.
The cow's cheese and the Vitosha type yellow cheese keep their old prices of BGN 5.49 per kilogram and BGN 10 per kilogram, respectively. A liter of oil has fallen in price to BGN 2.09, and frozen chicken meat has kept its values of BGN 3.82 per kilogram wholesale.
The kilogram of sugar has fallen in price by less than one percent and its wholesale price is BGN 1.39. Flour type 500 has jumped by 2.4%, and its wholesale price is 0.87 levs per kilogram.
