On the other hand, the average monthly indicators of the index are 1.3 percent higher than in March last year. This was stated by the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets.

Although at the beginning of 2015 there was a slight rise in sugar prices, in March the same commodity became cheaper on a monthly basis and reached BGN 1.18 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the value of flour continues to rise in the same month. It turns out that its price has risen by 1.2 percent over the previous month. On the other hand, in March the value of beans decreased by 2.6 percent.

However, the value of the oil is slightly increased on a monthly basis - by 2 percent. For rice, the increase is one percent. There is no increase in eggs and the price for one piece continues to amount to BGN 0.19.

Changes compared to February are also observed in dairy and meat products. For example, chicken meat has risen in price by about one percent on a monthly basis, while pork has fallen in price by three percent. Compared to the same month of 2015, the price of cow's cheese fell by almost three percent.

The value of butter has risen compared to the same month last year. The data show that on an annual basis the price of pork rises by 5.6 percent and the price of chicken meat falls by three percent.

On an annual basis, sugar is also cheaper by 19 percent and oil by 4 percent. The value of the flour is still the same as in March last year. On an annual basis, however, the value of eggs increases by 1 penny and rice by 7.7. per hundred.

Another thing that makes an impression is that in March there are almost no fruits and vegetables produced in our country on the market. However, you can see some amounts of Bulgarian lettuce, radishes, green onions and garlic.

As for green salads, their value rises on a monthly basis by 16 percent. Domestic cabbage rose in price by 15 percent in March, unlike imported cabbage, where the price rose by 7 percent.

During the same period, potatoes fell in price by 2 percent. In March, however, the prices of apples (by 11.5 percent) and bananas (by 7 percent) rose. The price of lemons fell by 0.6 percent.
