One of the most often prepared side dishes is risotto - you can put whatever vegetables you prefer in it, and it is also suitable for roasted chicken.

Necessary products: ½ kg lentils, 2 carrots, 1 onion, 3 cloves garlic, a slice of celery, butter, ½ tsp milk, salt

Method of preparation: Boil the lentils, adding the whole carrots, garlic and celery. After the lentils are cooked, take them out and drain them. We should mash for mashed potatoes - the goal is not to make it as smooth as mashed potatoes. Mash as much as you can with the potato press. If you have a blender, you can use it. Add butter and salt again. Mix well and add the milk - it should be hot.

Method of preparation: Cut the peeled carrots into circles and boil, add salt to the water. Once soft, add the rice and let it boil. Then drain the carrots and rice and mash - mix with butter and milk. The milk must be hot again.

You can make all kinds of stewed vegetables - mushrooms, peas, corn, carrots, broccoli. The choice is great - just combine them to your liking, saute them in butter, add a little salt and dill and the garnish is ready.

If you like mushrooms - remove the stumps, cut them into small pieces, add a little crushed garlic and spices, and fill the mushrooms. Put a small piece of butter on top and bake. You can also add yellow cheese.

Our next suggestion is caramelized onions - cut onions into slices and heat fat. Put the onion slices to fry and after they change color slightly, add 1-2 tbsp. honey and 1 tablespoon lemon juice, salt. Stir gently so as not to crush the onion rings. After about 2 minutes, remove from the heat.

Necessary products: 150 g green beans, 2 cloves garlic, 100 g blue cheese, 100 g nuts, salt, dill and fat

Method of preparation: Boil your green beans in salted water and drain. Then lightly fry it in the fat and add the crushed garlic.

Once it has released its aroma, pour the shredded cheese together with the chopped nuts and dill. Serve warm. Nuts can be walnuts, almonds - to your taste. The only condition is that they are baked.
