The genus Hyssop contains about 12 species of plants, the most common of which is the medicinal hyssop - Hyssopus officinalis. Medicinal hyssop helps with dry cough, as it has an expectorant effect.
It is also used in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, constipation, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Externally, the herb can be used for sprains, antiperspirants.
For asthma, you can make the following herbal decoction:
Put the healing hyssop in a suitable pan and bake it in a low oven. When the herb turns brown, remove the pan and grind in a food processor. Then take 1 tbsp. of the herb and mix it with a jar of acacia honey.
Stir to even out the mixture. It is taken three times a day, and it is best to eat 1 tbsp. before meals. Stir the mixture before use and continue with the treatment for half a year.
To treat bronchitis, prepare the following recipe:
Put 1 tsp. of medicinal hyssop in 250 ml. boiling water and let the mixture stand for a while. Then strain and drink ½ tsp. warm infusion, it is good to take the mixture at least three times a day.
Against sweating, you can drink the following infusion:
Put 2 tbsp. hyssop in a thermos and pour 2 tsp. boiling water. Do this in the evening and leave the herb in a closed container until morning. The mixture is then filtered and taken 100 g four times a day. Drink the infusion half an hour before eating.
Healing hyssop can also be used to improve the complexion. You need to boil 1 tbsp. of the herb in 250 ml of water - cook on low heat for ten minutes.
Then strain the mixture well and set it aside to cool completely. Using a cotton swab, apply the tonic to pre-cleansed skin. Perform the procedure before bedtime.
Hyssop can also be used to cleanse the lungs after quitting. In addition to helping eliminate secretions, healing hyssop will relieve anxiety that occurs after giving up a bad habit.
