It is as if only the food industry remained unaffected by the global crisis. You can't help but notice that as more and more small businesses or clothing stores and studios close their doors, the growth of food chains is becoming more tangible and large-scale.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov announced that the Agriculture Sector is not affected by the crisis and even more - the food industry is doomed to success and increasing profits in the long run.
The food sector will be increasingly profitable because the population is constantly growing, as a result of which people are buying more and more food and consuming more and more food worldwide.
This was announced by the Minister Dr. Miroslav Naydenov at the opening of the International Economic Exhibition "AGRA 2012" in Plovdiv. The domestic market does not lag behind this trend.
He added that better days are ahead for farmers with the new Common Agricultural Policy after 2014.
However, the question of the quality of the food that the Bulgarian buys and whether the larger production quantities are not at the expense of the quality remained unaffected.
