Jambalaya in its classic version contains ham and all kinds of spicy salami, although its modern versions use fish or seafood.

Traditional American pancakes are a great breakfast and are not difficult to prepare. The products for them are 3 eggs, 500 milliliters of fresh milk, flour as for liquid dough, powdered sugar, maple syrup.

Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the milk and beat with a mixer or wire. Add the flour and powdered sugar and beat well again.

The mixture was allowed to rest for 1 hour. Then mix well with a spoon. The dough should be thick but liquid. If it is thicker, dilute it with more milk.

Heat a large pan on the stove and leave on medium heat. Grease the pan with oil and when it is completely heated, pour the dough with a spoon until you get round pancakes. Bake on both sides, stack on plates and serve with maple syrup.
