This year no significant changes in the prices of basic food products are planned in the period before and during the upcoming holidays, assured the chairman of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets - Vladimir Ivanov.
For the first year, not only will I not have a jump in prices, but there will also be a reduction in the price of meat and dairy products. The only sector in which there may still be a slight upward change, albeit a minimal one, is fruit and vegetables.
This year's market research shows that the prices of dairy products, eggs, cheese, yellow cheese, butter and meat are the lowest compared to the last six years. In the last year, an extremely interesting and surprising trend has been observed in fruits and vegetables.
In the heat of summer, their price jumped, although the lowest values were expected. This was followed by a decline in the autumn, which producers compensated from the beginning of December until today.
The market in our country today is balanced and competitive. This excludes the possibility of speculation. The trend continues - demand is increasing, so is supply, and Bulgarian products of very good quality can be found on the market.
