This year our holiday table will be 10 percent cheaper if we bet on the meat products in it. This was shared by the chairman of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets Vladimir Ivanov in front of FOCUS Radio.

According to the expert, the prices of basic food products will remain stable on New Year's Eve, and only meat will be at lower values.

A slight wait is expected at the prices of only fruits and vegetables.

For the last 6 years, butter, yellow cheese, cheese and other dairy products have remained at the same prices. No major changes in price values were also registered for eggs.

In contrast, fruits and vegetables show a sharp rise and fall. As in 2016, so in previous years, the greens did not maintain stable values.

For vegetables, prices regularly rise in the summer, when they are most consumed, and fruits traditionally rise in price, albeit slightly, during the last days of the year.

In general, however, the Bulgarian bazaar is balanced and there is no room for speculation, Ivanov commented. He added that in recent years there has been a stronger demand for Bulgarian products, which can be considered a positive trend in our country.

The last farmers' bazaar, located in Sofia, was held with the motto Buy Bulgarian and was part of the campaign, which appeals for more products from domestic production in supermarkets.

Over 70 producers participated in the bazaar and presented delicious fruits and vegetables, wines, dairy and meat delicacies, bee products and pastries, as well as organic desserts and meat dishes.
