Inspectors from the Regional Directorate of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency in Plovdiv will check a series of thematic inspections of hygiene in Chinese restaurants in the city.
The reason for the unscheduled inspections was a number of complaints from customers of the establishments, explained the acting director of the regional directorate Dr. Kamen Yanev.
BFSA inspectors will carefully inspect all establishments and restaurants that offer Chinese food, both for consumption on the spot and for delivery to the office or home.
There have been legends about hygiene in Chinese restaurants for years, but in practice, restaurants closed due to poor hygiene are counted on the fingers of one hand.
Dr. Yaneuv did not fail to note that in Plovdiv, as elsewhere in the country, inspections for illegal trade in milk and dairy products will continue.
Surprisingly, at this stage there are no violations. These thematic inspections started in mid-August.
