In recent years, the cherry diet has become extremely popular. With it, the amount of food is minimized, and those who follow the popular diet should eat mainly cherries and drink plenty of water.

However, recent research has shown that the new mania for weight loss, in addition to being an ineffective method of weight loss, is also extremely harmful. Prominent nutritionists warn that with cherry diet no excess fat is removed and the body is deprived of muscle mass and water. This often leads to stomach upset and even dehydration.

The main reason for the ineffectiveness of the cherry diet is the high amount of sugars in the fruit. By consuming 2 kilograms of cherries, the body consumes 1,200 calories, 20 percent of which are sugars. Most of them are glucose, which leads to an increase in body fat.

Cherries also lack important body ingredients such as B vitamins, iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamins E, A, D, zinc and selenium. This means that they cannot be a complete food, and the minimal amount of protein in them makes the body get what it needs by breaking down the muscle tissue in the body.

Calculations have shown that in the normal course of the diet the body loses about 500 grams of muscle mass, and almost immediately afterwards regains between 500 and 700 grams of fat.

To be effective cherry diet, experts in the field recommend that cherries be combined with healthy foods to provide much-needed substances for the body. Divide the cherries into 5 portions and consume them with yogurt, white meat and fresh vegetables.

Start your day with a healthy menu with no more than 200 grams of cherries. At lunch, eat chicken breast with salad, and for dinner - fish with stewed vegetables. The maximum allowable amount of cherries per day is one kilogram. Drinking at least two liters of water a day is mandatory.
