Soy is a legume and can sometimes take a long time to cook, just like beans. For a faster way, you can boil it in a pressure cooker. While it is boiling, you can add different spices or just lightly salt it.

Once it is well softened, you can use it to prepare whatever you want. Soy contains a very high percentage of protein, fat and carbohydrates and can very successfully replace meat in most dishes - moussaka, kebab, casserole, sarma, stuffed peppers, steaks.

If you bought a soy mixture for minced meat, you just need to soak it as indicated on the package, then you can prepare it in the same way as you prepare your dish in general. There is nothing different in spices or technology other than soaking.

Soy steaks become very tasty, for which you can prepare different sauces to your liking. You need - thyme, bay leaf, oregano, savory, ½ onion, 2 tsp water, 1 tsp salt.

All this is put on the stove to boil, then add the soy schnitzels - stand in the water with the spices for about 5 minutes. Then remove from the heat and leave to soak for at least an hour. In this way they soften and acquire the aroma of spices.
