Razgrad will apply for the Book of Balkan Records with a giant table, which will be crucified in early July in the Pchelina area, restoring a scene from the film Time Apart.

The length will be 450 meters and 1500 guests are expected to gather around the traditional table.

Valentin Dimov, who is chairman of the Ludogorie Association, is the initiator of the folklore festival, which will be held for the third consecutive year in the city.

This year, the folklore festival in Razgrad will restore a popular scene from the movie Time Apart, arranging 5 sofras, reminiscent of the wedding of Manol and Elitsa from the popular film.

A wedding ceremony will also take place on the huge Razgrad table, as Father Ivan from Novi Khan will marry the lovers Victoria and Denislav from the town of Silistra.

The organizers announce that all the children from Father Ivan's shelter will be present on the wedding day.

The record-breaking table, applying for the Book of Balkan Records, will hold 12 barbecues, 7 pots of beans, 200 loaves of bread and 100 kilograms of cheese, and the dishes will be prepared by popular TV chef Ivan Zvezdev.

The stalls will be set up by colleagues of the newlyweds Victoria and Denislav, who are engaged in traditional Bulgarian crafts. Victoria works as a woodcarver and Denislav is a master of knives.

On the happiest day for lovers will be attended by 80 of their relatives and friends.

The organizers promise that all the extras of the festival in Razgrad will be free, inviting everyone to the huge table.

Dozens of large and small companies from Razgrad are sponsoring the attraction event, which is expected to gather thousands of people in the city.

The Pchelina Association says they will set up two tent camps in the area for people who fail to book a hotel room.
