Bulgarian yogurt with the Trimona brand competes in the Made in America competition. So far, our milk has collected 22,000 votes.
In the American competition, people compete who produce a certain product themselves. The Bulgarian master's name is Atanas Valev, and his yogurt business started with two buckets of milk, which he brought from Bulgaria.
At the moment, Valev already produces 2,600 buckets of yogurt a month, and in the beginning Bulgarian milk with the Trimona brand was sold in only a few small shops in Manhattan.
Our milk became famous in the country of unlimited possibilities when the product was selected to participate in the competition Made in America by Martha Steward.
Steward is a television presenter and cook, and her show has featured a number of Hollywood celebrities such as the late Robin Williams.
It remains to be seen whether the authentic taste of our milk will captivate Americans, who are used to eating more puddings and creams. The final results of the American competition will be announced in a few days.
Atanas Valev believes that his chances of winning are very good, as people do not stop voting. The Bulgarian businessman is determined to restore the yoghurt from the recent past, which Bulgarians love. Trimona is made from homemade cow's milk.
Bulgarian yogurt conquered the Thai markets some time ago. There it is sold as Made in Bulgaria.
It will also sell our milk in China. This year alone, 870 stores have opened in the country, selling Bulgarian yogurt. The interest in milk led many Chinese investors who cooperated with Bulgarian sourdough producers.
And while foreigners admire the traditional Bulgarian product, Bulgarians find it difficult to reach the typical milk of our country.
In inspections carried out some time ago, it turned out that most of the yogurt we buy does not contain the characteristic bacterium Lactobacillus bulgaricus.
