Hyacinths are one of the most beautiful and fragrant flowers that can be grown both in the garden and at home. However, it is often difficult to get them to bloom again, although most species can bloom for 3-4 years or more.
Here are some tips you can follow if you want to make your own hyacinth to bloom again:
- Hyacinth is a bulbous plant and in order for it to bloom again, the most important thing is to keep its bulb well. After the plant blooms, cut the dried leaves and leave the bulbs in a dry, dark and ventilated place so you can use them again.
- In recent years, very easy-to-grow varieties of hyacinths have appeared on the market, for which you do not even have to remove the bulbs after flowering. You simply store the plant in the dark and start watering and nourishing it before it is time to flower. However, it is safer to follow the previous rule.
- Hyacinths are early bulbous flowers and if you want to bloom in winter, you can make them by forcing (forcing the flower to bloom earlier than the usual season for flowering).
- The forcing of hyacinths usually takes place in early September. For this purpose, larger and stronger bulbs are selected. It is good to enrich the soil in which you will plant the bulb, and before you put the soil, it is best to put pieces of tiles or other type of drainage to make sure that the water can drain. The hyacinth bulb is planted by pressing it to the soil, and it should sink to 2/3 of its height. It is very important not to leave it too open if you want to have color again. This also applies to ordinary planting.
- If your pot has a diameter of 15 cm, you can put 4 bulbs, but they do not touch each other. The flowers are left in a dark and cool place.
- When the inflorescence comes out of the bulb and appears 2-3 cm above it, you can remove the pot with the future hyacinth and bring it into a warmer room. When forcing, this usually happens in December.
- You can force the hyacinth in a bowl of water, which is changed every 2-3 weeks. The roots are fixed with cotton in the water so that the flower grows straight, even if it forms large inflorescences.

Cheap milk imports will flood domestic markets after April 1, 2015, when quotas for raw material production in the European Union expire. This will significantly reduce domestic production. Bulgarian farmers are worried that the quotas that have so far regulated the milk market will lead to a serious reduction in the price of dairy products imported from abroad, which will shrink domestic production.
