On October 20 all cooks, for whom cooking is a profession and a hobby, celebrate International Chef's Day.
The holiday was initiated by the World Association of Cooking Societies (WACS).
Chef's Day has been celebrated since 2004 in more than 70 countries around the world, and Bulgaria is one of them. Every year in our country are organized processions and culinary workshops that aim to attract young people to the profession.
In addition to festive events, culinary organizations include many others related to this business - workers in the tourism business, restaurants, cafes. Competitions, tastings and classic and traditional dishes are organized or new variants of familiar recipes are experimented with.
Cooking is one of the most common hobbies that people use to fill their free time. A the profession of the cook is among the most common, although history does not say exactly who was the first chef.
