Aromatic callis / Callisia Fragans / is a perennial plant and belongs to the family Commelinaceae. The stem of the flower is erect, leafy, fragile. At height at home it reaches 80 cm, and in nature - over 150 cm. The leaves of the fragrant kaliziya are oblong, 20-30 cm long and 4-6 cm wide. In appearance they look like small corn. They are thick, juicy, yellow-green, covered with a shiny waxy coating. Swallows grow from the upright stem of the flower. They are multi-knee, reach a total length of over 100 cm and are covered with underdeveloped leaves.
At the end they end with a leafy rosette - a panicle. When the swallowtail lies on the ground (as in strawberries), the rosette takes root and gives rise to a new plant. This is the natural way of reproduction in nature. At home, kalizia is propagated mainly by rooting cuttings in water. Although rare, the calyx blooms with small flowers less than 1 cm, gathered in a paniculate inflorescence. They emit a strong, gentle pleasant scent, resembling a lily of the valley. Mexico is considered to be the birthplace of the aromatic kaliziya. Under natural conditions, the plant grows in tropical and subtropical areas of Central America, the Antilles and Southeast Asia.
