Light green tea is so named because of the color of the infusion that is obtained after it is made. It is definitely a strong tea with a slightly salty taste and rich aroma. There are different types of tea, but in China, the homeland of tea, the most common are 3 types of light green tea. Here they are:
1. Olong
This is not unknown light green tea, which was originally grown only in China, is now cultivated in a number of other Asian countries. Interestingly, although it is classified as light green, it can often acquire a frank green color or even black.
2. Tien Quan-in
It can be high-quality stale tea or lower quality and much cheaper, but again with a pleasant and mild taste. The name of this light green tea comes from the name of the goddess of mercy, who is called Quan-yin, and only "tien" means "metallic". There are various legends associated with it, but according to the most common Buddhist, whose name is lost back in time, he served fresh tea every morning in front of the statue of Quan-yin to thank her for her kindness. One day the statue came to life and told the Buddhist monk about a plant that grew in the crack of a rock and from which delicious tea could also be made. She told him to take the plant with him, to grow it and to share its taste and aroma with his relatives and friends, whom he must never forget. And so it happened and the tea bush was named Quan-yin, and because of the reddish hue of the tea leaves, the name tien was added, which means metallic.
3. And Hung Pao
Extremely expensive tea not only because of the rich and rich taste and aroma it has, but also because of the small harvest it gives. For this reason, it is also known as the Jewelry of all teas.
