Ball soup is loved by Bulgarian cuisine, but it is often prepared in many other countries. Here are three of the most popular recipes for making soup balls.

1. Soup balls of minced meat and rice

Necessary products: 300 g minced meat, 5 tablespoons rice, salt and pepper to taste, 1 carrot, onion - 1 head, a piece of finely chopped celery, 1 tsp butter, 1 bay leaf, 1 tbsp flour, 2 tablespoons yogurt, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method of preparation: Finely chop the celery, carrot and half of the onion and pour water over it. From the remaining onion, minced meat and half of the rice, knead minced meat, season with salt and pepper and form small balls. They are put in the boiling broth and after about 20 minutes the rice is added to it. Add the bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste. Once everything is ready, build up with milk, flour and egg, and finally season with lemon juice and butter.

2. Soup balls of minced meat and potatoes

Necessary products: 250 g minced meat, 2 potatoes, 1 carrot, half green and half red pepper, 1 onion, salt, cumin, pepper and savory to taste, 2 tablespoons noodles, oval flour

Method of preparation: Season the minced meat with cumin, salt, pepper and savory. From it small balls are made, which are rolled in flour and put in boiling water. Carrots, onions and peppers are finely chopped and added to the soup. After about 10 minutes, add the diced potatoes and after everything is soft enough, add the noodles. Additionally sprinkle with salt and savory to taste.

3. Fish soup balls

Necessary products: 400 g pre-made minced fish, 1 carrot, 1 onion, oval flour, 2 potatoes, 3 tablespoons oil, 1/2 tsp ginger, 2 cloves garlic, a few sprigs of parsley, salt, black pepper and lemon juice to taste.

Method of preparation: Pour the diced carrot and onion into boiling salted water. After about 5 minutes, add the diced potatoes, ginger, oil and chopped garlic. The minced fish is seasoned with salt and pepper and balls are formed from it, which are rolled in flour and placed in the broth. When everything is ready, add the lemon juice, spices to taste and finally the finely chopped parsley.
