The main reason for the end of the diet is the weekend - this is shown by the results of a British study. Scientists have been able to determine how many calories are consumed on weekends.

Most people succumb to serious transgressions from Friday night to the end of the weekend, even though they are on a diet. 75 percent of respondents say that Friday nights are rewarded with not very useful foods.

During the weekend, in just two days, a person eats more than half of the calories he consumed during the week, experts say.

Due to the hectic daily routine during the week from Monday to Thursday, it is much easier to control calories. In addition, sometimes we do not have enough time to eat properly.

But weekends can ruin any diet. Scientists claim that during the weekend, women can consume about 8,000, and men about 10,000 calories in the form of a variety of drinks and foods.

For comparison, the body's usual need for calories is as follows - for men it is about 2500-3000 calories a day, and for women - 2000.

The study was conducted with the help of 1,000 people. The results show that very often people on a diet indulge not only in copious consumption of food over the weekend, but also in the consumption of alcohol. In addition, they often dine late.

Just one meal, which is accompanied by alcohol consumption, can reach 3,500 calories for men and 3,000 for women. The real enemy of diets, however, are the snacks we make between the main breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekends.

More than half of those surveyed found that they often open the fridge on the weekends because they spend more time at home.

In 70 percent of the respondents it is clear that during the weekend they like to eat illicit and harmful food - pizza is the leader. In addition, most people admitted that they drank more from Friday night to Sunday night than during the week.

Many of the respondents confirm that they like to make serious treats on weekends with friends or relatives. One third of them honestly admitted that they put a second portion during such gatherings.
