Confectioners in Germany began with the preparation of the traditional German pastry - stolen, which is always present at the Christmas table in the western country.
Although there are about 3 weeks until Christmas, German confectioners say the stew is prepared from now on to be tasty enough by December 25th.
The gallery is the first Christmas cake to be prepared for the holiday. It can be prepared long before it is consumed, as it can stay in plastic packaging for up to 45 days without changing its taste.
The cold gallery is wrapped in foil and a thick plastic bag. Keep in a dry and cool place.
Stolen is a traditional Christmas cake in Germany, and it is believed that the hosts have been making it for 540 years. The cake is very tasty, and the abundance of dried fruits make it very useful.
To prepare it you will need 500 grams of flour, 100 grams of sugar, 7 grams of dry yeast, 250 grams of milk, a pinch of salt, 2 vanilla, 50 grams of dried cherries, 30 grams of dried cherries, 20 grams of prunes, 40 temples of almonds, 40 grams of ground walnuts, 200 grams of melted butter, peel of 1 orange, peel of 1 tangerine, marzipan and powdered sugar for sprinkling.
All products without marzipan and walnuts are replaced by dough in a deep bowl. Once kneaded, leave the dough to rise until it doubles in volume.
Then roll out and pour the walnuts and marzipan on it. The dough is rolled in half and placed in a tray covered with baking paper.
Cover the top with a towel or foil and leave to rise for another hour. The stock is then covered with foil so as not to burn, and baked in a moderate oven for about 50 minutes.
While still warm, smear the stalk with butter and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. It is then wrapped in nylon and foil, where it can stay until Christmas. This way we will be able to enjoy it for the holiday without having to hang around the stove for hours.
