Spicy potatoes with mustard are also part of the German Christmas table. You need 1 kg of potatoes, 50 milliliters of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of coarse mustard, green onions, parsley and salt to taste.
Boil the potatoes, peel them, cut them into slices and sprinkle with a little vinegar. The olive oil, the remaining vinegar and the mustard are mixed with the chopped green onions and parsley and everything is added to the warm potatoes.
Salmon in salt dough it is also typical of the German Christmas table. You need 1 kg of salmon, 600 grams of salt, 600 grams of flour, 4 eggs, 230 milliliters of water, 1 lemon, sliced, a little dill.
The salt is mixed with the flour, three of the eggs and the water. The dough is made into a ball and left for an hour in the refrigerator. Salt the fish and cover with lemon slices. It is placed on the dough rolled out on the crust.
The dough is rolled and a fish enclosed in dough is obtained. Spread with beaten egg and bake for 40 minutes in the oven.
