Price of dairy products begins to increase and it is likely that the rise in price of these foods will continue to be observed in the coming months.
The reason for the rise in prices of products such as yellow cheese, yogurt, butter and cheese is both the higher digestion price of milk and higher wages and electricity costs in flour. This became clear from the words of Dimitar Zorov - chairman of the association of milk processors, quoted by DariknewsBg.
The value of dairy products is rising because the price of raw milk, which is the leading raw material in them, has risen. Compared with the price of raw milk from last year observed an increase of nearly forty percent.
But this trend is not only observed in Bulgaria, but also in Europe. In the European Union last year, a kilo of milk cost between 23 and 25 cents. And now its price reaches 41 cents.
In Bulgaria, a liter of milk last year cost 55 stotinki, and now it costs between 72 and 80 stotinki, Zorov explained.
According to the head of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges - Vladimir Ivanov and the markets, the price of butter is higher due to the stronger consumption of chocolate.
He noted that in the last six years there has been a gradual rise in oil prices, which is not only a trend in our country but also around the world. According to him, if Bulgaria starts producing the product in larger quantities, the price increase will not be sharp.
