A direct alabash variety was created by scientists from the Institute of Plant and Genetic Resources in Sadovo and the Institute of Vegetable Crops Maritsa - Plovdiv. His name is Nikki and he is a real vitamin bomb.

The work on the selection of the new species of alabash has continued for ten years. Although in the past our country exported tons of vegetables to all countries of the Eastern bloc, this practice has long ceased.

The Niki variety is suitable for organic production. It is sown in June and gives a harvest of 3-4 tons per decare in just three months. Apart from its quantity, it is also valuable for its qualities. In only 100 g of alabash Niki has over 50 mg of vitamin C, which is exactly as in a lemon. This gives him the nickname Lemon among vegetables.

It is also rich in zinc, chromium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, protein, amino acids, calcium, chromium and potassium - a real vitamin bomb. It is believed to have anticancer properties.

Regular consumption of vegetables maintains immunity and increases the body's defenses. Recommended for anemia. It is suitable for all diets, as 100 g contains only 0.1 g of fat.

The most useful is Nikki in fresh condition. In our country the recipes with vegetables are forgotten, but soon the Bulgarian will be able to take full advantage of the unique taste and health benefits of the alabash produced in our country. Apart from being a fresh ingredient for salads, it is also a great spice for soups.

Nikki has a promising future. The biggest plus for our country is the fact that there is a wide demand for stem fruits, and the biggest consumer is Turkey.
