Nettle roots are applied with uterine bleeding, anemia, menopause and chronic constipation. You can do gargle with a decoction of nettle roots in bronchitis, tonsillitis, gingivitis, periodontitis and scalp washing in oily seborrhea.
Nettle roots are used also in the following diseases: hemorrhoids, diabetes, ulcers, worms, furunculosis, acne, bronchitis, constipation, anemia, hysteria, dropsy, menstrual irregularities, etc.
Methods of using nettle roots:
General recipe with nettle roots - Take 1 tbsp. nettle roots and pour it with 200 ml of boiling water, boil for 15 minutes on low heat with the lid closed. After two hours, strain the infusion and pour boiling water to the initial volume, take 1 tbsp. three times a day before meals.
Headache tincture - Take 2 tbsp. nettle roots and fill them with 60 ml of water. Infuse the mixture for 2 hours, strain and drink 1/3 cup, 4-5 times a day after meals.
In diabetes, gout - Take 1 tbsp roots and pour them with 200 ml of warm boiled water (not hot). Insist for 40-50 minutes, strain and take 80-100 ml per day before bedtime.
In menstrual disorders - in a 500 ml jar, add 1/3 of its volume, nettle roots. Add 250 ml of 70% alcohol and infuse the mixture for 10-12 days, shaking the jar from time to time. Take 0, 5 tbsp. three times a day for a month.
Decoction for bronchitis - pour 15 g nettle roots with 1, 5 cups of boiling water. Heat on low heat for 10 minutes, until 1/3 of the water evaporates. After cooling, strain and take 1 tbsp. three times a day before meals.
Side effects are observed in overdose with nettle roots, with nausea, vomiting and hypervitaminosis.
Nettle also has contraindications: in atherosclerosis, pregnancy increased blood clotting, kidney disease, bleeding caused by cysts, polyps or other tumors of the uterus, hypertension, thrombophlebitis.
