Baozi, better known in our country as Pauchi, is an Asian dough specialty that is very common in China. It is prepared from boiled dough and stuffing, consisting of meat (beef, chicken) and vegetables (leeks, onions).

Spiders are very reminiscent of dumplings, popular in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, but are slightly larger. They are available in many Asian restaurants and especially in Chinese fast food restaurants.

If you have the opportunity to try baoji, be sure to do so. And if you want to bring Asia home, you can do it with this easy recipe for homemade spiders.

Necessary products: 300 g wheat flour, 3 tbsp. dry yeast, 2 pcs. Himalayan salt, 1 tbsp. sugar, 150 ml warm water, 1 tbsp. oil, 300 g chicken, 1 leek stalk, 200 g sauerkraut, 1 tbsp. soy sauce, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tbsp. Sesame oil.

Method of preparation: Put the flour in a bowl, make a well and put the dry ingredients - yeast, salt, sugar. Add the oil and water. We start to knead and if necessary, we add a little more water. When we get a smooth and homogeneous dough, put it in a bowl until it rises well.

In the meantime, prepare the filling for the spider web. Finely chop the leeks and stew it with sesame oil. Add to it the diced chicken, sauerkraut, garlic. Stew until the products soften, and finally add soy sauce. Remove the filling from the hob.

We return to the risen dough, from which we break small balls. We pull them with our fingers to make round cakes and put the stuffing in the middle of each of them. Fold the dough so that you get balls. We steam them. Spiders are usually ready in no more than 10 minutes.
