Visits to grandparents in the village, games outside until late hours with friends overflow imperceptibly with another pleasant moment - when we return tired from long games outside, to feel the aroma of a warm and delicious dish prepared by Grandma's hands.

Let's remember for a moment grandmother's pots from childhood, because of which we grew up healthy and happy.

The obligatory stuffed peppers with rice and minced meat, nettle porridge, chicken porridge, pepper pot, delicious potato stew are just a small part of favorite dishes from childhood.

Roasted fried peppers with tomato sauce

Necessary products:

Peppers - 10-15 pcs.

Method of preparation:

Wash and roast the peppers (with the handles), leave them in a dish with a lid to stew. Then we peel them. Heat oil in a pan and fry the peppers, which we have rolled in flour. Arrange the prepared peppers on a plate in a circle.

In the same fat, stew finely chopped onions and garlic. Then add the grated tomatoes, sugar and salt to taste. Cook the sauce until thickened. After the tomato sauce thickens, pour the peppers and serve the peppers with warm tomato sauce.

Rabbit stew

Necessary products:

Rabbit - 1 pc.

Method of preparation:

The rabbit is cleaned and cut into portions. Wash it and let it drain. In a deep saucepan, heat oil, add the rabbit meat and fry until golden. Add finely chopped onion and fry for a few more minutes. Add the red pepper, grated tomatoes and fry for another 5 minutes. Pour water and add the cleaned whole heads of garlic. Cook the dish over low heat until ready. Finally, thicken with a little flour in water. Add 2-3 dry bay leaves.

Method of preparation:

In a deep frying pan, melt the butter, fry the flour, start adding water, stirring constantly with a wire, so that it does not form lumps. Cook over low heat until thickened, if necessary, add more water or flour. Add the shredded cheese, stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Then in another pan heat a little oil and fry red pepper. Serve the cheese mash in a plate topped with red pepper.
