911 is the American phone number for emergency calls - its Bulgarian equivalent is 112. But an emergency call can mean something different to everyone. An American woman has been arrested for calling the emergency number to complain about the pizza served to her.
The lady's name is Michelle Hall - she decides to eat at a fast food restaurant. After entering the restaurant and settling in, the woman ordered a pizza with a standard sauce, but instead they also served a pizza with Marinara sauce. The client asked to change the order and bring her what she wanted, but the restaurant refused.
Angry Michelle immediately picked up the phone and dialed 911 to complain. They explained to her that they did not deal with such complaints. A few minutes later, the police entered the restaurant and Michelle was arrested for disturbing public order.
The lady spent exactly three minutes in custody, after which she was released on $ 2,000 bail.
The strange case is not a precedent - in 2010 a child called the emergency number to complain about his dinner. In April of this year, an elderly American from the state of Ohio called the emergency number to complain about his grandson. He asked for help - he wanted help to get the teenager on the "right path".
Citizens with various complaints and concerns regularly call the American emergency number. A woman called to complain that the photo taken of her during a previous arrest was very ugly.
The lady saw the photo in a crime column of a local newspaper and was outraged - after the call the woman was arrested again because she called the emergency number without any compelling reason. Accordingly, the lady was given the opportunity to be photographed again and to look better in her new photo.
Another woman, Carol Omeara, called 911 complaining that she could not get out of her own car. The dispatcher asked her if she had any health problems, and the lady calmly replied that she was just too drunk. Carol was arrested a few minutes later for driving while intoxicated.
