It seems that this was also the case with a grandmother from Germany, who, however, almost got into serious trouble after giving her 11-year-old grandson chocolates with alcohol.
Many parents would hardly be so outraged by such a Christmas present. Moreover, chocolate candies with alcohol are among the common treats that Germans exchange at Christmas. For the worried mother of the 11-year-old boy, however, this gift was extremely unacceptable, DPA reports.
After learning what her mother-in-law had given to her grandson, the parent fell into unprecedented hysteria. She was impatient and decided to complain about her grandmother's candy to the Bavarian police.
Police took her signal very seriously and called the mother-in-law to ask for an explanation for the alcohol gift she had given to her young grandson.
The intervention of the police worried the grandmother and she regretted her action. The 67-year-old woman admitted that she made a mistake by deciding to make her grandson happy with treats containing alcohol.
After listening to the warnings of the uniformed men, the old woman made it clear that she was sorry and had learned a lesson. That closed the case.
