Pasta with cannabis became a total hit at an exhibition of Italian manufacturers in London. More than 200 Italian companies presented their products in the British capital.
Italian spaghetti with cannabis aroused the greatest interest among the visitors. This is not a mysterious recipe for a paste in which cannabis is the main spice, but for spaghetti, which contains tetrahydrocannabinol.
Tetrahydrocannabinol is a natural ingredient and is the main psychoactive substance that causes the euphoric effect in cannabis.
However, some varieties of cannabis can be cultivated and used in food. In fact, the use of cannabis in food production in Italy has been regulated since 1998.
The Italian authorities have set maximum levels for tetrahydrocannabinol that may be present in food, and Italian producers are taking this into account.
The cannabis foods are organic, says Marzio Ilario Fiore, 30, who owns a farm that produces cannabis-containing flour and olive oil.
Its cannabis plantations are annually inspected by Italian police inspectors, who monitor whether the active substance tetrahydrocannabinol is within the statutory values.
The Italian company, which leaves its wines on the seabed for at least a year to mature, also aroused great interest among visitors.
The company Tenuta del Haguro stored the bottles of the aromatic elixir in the remains of the oil platform Paguro, which sank to the bottom of the Adriatic Sea in 1965.
Traditionally, the producer leaves the wine on the seabed for at least a year, where the lack of light, the constant temperature, as well as the massaging effect of the excitement make it a delight for the palate.
The bottles are then removed from there and sold to customers as they are wrapped in seaweed.
And you can judge for yourself how good the wine is. We will only mention that the wine aged on the seabed won the award for the best drink at the festival in London.
