Cheese and yogurt are healthy foods that every body needs. Prepared at home are even more useful, and this is not difficult and does not take much time.
I started cooking them at the same time as feeding my son, as I try to consume the most natural foods possible. They worked for me from the first time, which I judge is not something difficult that only our grandmothers were able to do.
Now I will reveal the whole philosophy of making cheese and yogurt.
Homemade Cheese
For about a kilo of cheese you need 5 liters of milk (I prefer cow). You need to buy cheese yeast, which is sold in many places (I buy it from Kaufland). Read the instructions of the yeast bottle carefully, because there is a difference in the number of drops that need to be put in different brands.
Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat it so that when you place your puppy, it is warm but not steamy. Once you have warmed it up enough, remove it from the heat and add the required number of drops of cheese yeast. Mix well and set aside.
The milk begins to thicken. After about 2 hours it should be thick enough so that it does not disintegrate - when you shake the pot, it should stand like jelly. Prepare a piece of cheesecloth and pour the condensed milk in it.
Tie the ends two by two opposite and hang it somewhere to drain well. I usually cook it in the evening and it drains by morning. Remove the cheesecloth and place the cheese in a pan. Sprinkle with sea salt to salt and you're done - you already have fresh cottage cheese.
Homemade Yogurt
In the case of yoghurt, the milk must be boiled. Allow to cool until warm (up to about 41-43 degrees). You prepare several jars.
In a glass mix 2-3 tbsp. yogurt (I use Elena) with a ladle of fresh milk until smooth. Pour the glass into a jar and fill the jar with fresh milk.
And so you continue with the other jars. Put caps on and wrap all the jars with a blanket to keep them warm. In one night the yogurt is ready.
