In just two days, the employees of the National Revenue Agency and the Customs Agency have seized 2,029 illegal alcohol on our Black Sea coast. The drinks were sold in violation of the Excise Duties Act.
1506 liters of ethyl alcohol with the characteristics of brandy, 323 liters of liquid with the characteristics of wine and 200 liters of liquid with the characteristics of beer were seized.
Surprising inspections were carried out in a hotel in the town of Kiten, a hotel complex in the resort of Sunny Beach and in a private property in the Varna village of Gospodinovo.
The inspections were carried out as a result of information collected on the illegal distribution of alcohol in sites during the active season on the Black Sea coast.
The surprise inspection in Kiten was carried out on August 19, and the room where the illegal brandy was hidden was used by the traders for storage. The liquid was stored in cans of 120 liters.
The previous day, August 18, an inspection was carried out in Sunny Beach. The 17 tubes full of wine were in the kitchen of the hotel complex, and each of them was filled with 19 liters of liquid.

In 9 of the tubes there was a red liquid with the smell of wine, and in 8 of them there was a poor yellow liquid.
Also on August 18, a surprise inspection was carried out in a private property in the Varna village of Gospodinovo. There were found two vessels for boiling brandy with a capacity of 250 liters.
467 liters of ethyl alcohol with the characteristics of brandy were seized from the garage of the property.
No tax documents were provided for the detected illegal alcohol. After the laboratory examinations are published, pre-trial proceedings will be instituted in all three cases.

The registered violations of the food offered on the native Black Sea coast were minimal, the inspections of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency stated. The news was announced by Damyan Mikov from the BFSA to the Bulgarian National Radio. The expert said that since the beginning of the summer season, a little over 500 sites have been inspected.

Suspicious alcohol offered in some restaurants at sea will be tested. The Consumer Protection Commission will monitor the quality of the spirits that the restaurants on the native Black Sea coast serve, inspecting the bars hosting the cup lovers.
More Than 30 Tons Of Illegal Alcohol Were Seized
More than 30 tonnes of illegal etol alcohol, which was most likely to be used to make vodka, were seized in a warehouse in Sofia following an operation by the Customs and SANS. The action took place on Tuesday night, as the officers checked the room after a signal was given, which said that a large amount of illegal alcohol was stored there.
