Orange lentils are a product extremely suitable for soups and most of all - cream soups. It is smaller than our familiar lentils, but just like it, it has an appetizing taste. It has no scales and boils much faster. Here are some easy and appetizing recipes that you can prepare with orange lentils:

Orange curry lentils

Necessary products: 250 g orange lentils, 500 ml vegetable broth, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2-3 tbsp. butter or oil, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tsp. ground cumin, 2 tsp. ground coriander, 400 g canned tomatoes, 125 ml coconut milk, ground black pepper

Method of preparation: Finely chop the onion and garlic. The lens is washed well and placed in a saucepan. Add the broth together with the turmeric. When it boils, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on until the lentils are completely soft.

Stew the onions in a pan for 4-5 minutes. Garlic, cumin and coriander are added. Fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Onions and tomatoes are added to the lentils. Boil for about 15 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Finally, add the coconut milk. Season with ground black pepper.

Meatballs of orange lentils and peppers

Necessary products: salt, 2-3 tbsp. frying oil, black pepper, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 egg, 250 g lentils, 1 large onion, 4 roasted red peppers

Method of preparation: The lentils are boiled. Onions and peppers are finely chopped. Mix with lentils, egg, flour, salt and pepper to taste. From the resulting mixture are formed meatballs, which are flattened and fried in a little fat.

Necessary products: 300 g orange lentils, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 clove garlic, 1 tbsp. curry, 3 tbsp. oil, fresh thyme

Method of preparation: Finely chop the onion, carrot and garlic. Stew well and season with curry. Add the lentils and hot water, which covers 2 cm above the products. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. When ready, add salt to taste and mash. Serve in bowls with a sprig of thyme.

Necessary products: Orange lentils, onions, tomatoes, vinegar, olive oil, black pepper, paprika, salt

Method of preparation: Boil the lentils well and drain the water. Onions are finely chopped and mixed with peeled and finely chopped tomatoes. To them is added the lentils, which are seasoned with olive oil, vinegar, red and black pepper and salt to taste. Leave briefly in the refrigerator before serving.
