The warm days are officially behind us, but this is no reason to give up our favorite summer temptations. One of the desserts that will bring you back cheerful even in the darkest weather is the angel cream Zabayone.
Zabayone is a traditional Italian specialty, which is known in Venezuela, France, Argentina. It is also popular as Zabayone, Sabayon, a dessert for a spoon.
The unique texture of the cream is what makes it so loved by all. But its easy making, which is a bean job, is the other reason why the hosts adore it.
To prepare Zabayone cream, you need egg yolks, sugar and sweet wine. It would be best to have Marsala. But if you can't find this drink or avoid alcohol, replace the wine with some coffee. The idea is just to pleasantly flavor the dessert.
In the following lines we will give you an idea for a quick cream Zabayone with which to pamper yourself.
Necessary products: 2 egg yolks (at room temperature), 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. Marsala wine
Method of preparation:
Put water in a metal container and heat it over low heat, not allowing it to boil. Put another fireproof bowl in the metal bowl and add the yolks and sugar.
Thus, in a water bath, beat the two products using a mixer. Stirring is continued until you get a fluffy substance.
Add Marsala or another ingredient you have chosen to flavor the dessert to it. Continue stirring for another two minutes and remove from the stove.
The cream becomes very fast. Its entire preparation does not take more than 12-15 minutes. Then, if you prefer it chilled, put it in the fridge for a while.
But you can also serve it directly with cookies. Optionally decorate with chocolate or fruit. The result is a light, fluffy and gentle temptation!
