Sarmi are a real classic in Bulgarian cuisine. This dish in the original is a rice stuffing wrapped in leaves. It is part of the national cuisine of many European and Asian nations.

Sarms delight the senses with aromas and taste. However, their preparation often takes a long time, which is why the hosts often look for an option to facilitate the recipe.

It was this search that led to the recipe for naked sarma, also called lazy sarma. Their taste does not differ from the taste of the classic sarma, but it is prepared much faster and much easier.

The small, wrapped sarmas are really nice, but when you are in a hurry and you are eating this delicacy, the recipes for naked sarma are the opposite - quick and easy to prepare.

Bare sarmi with sauerkraut

Necessary products: 1 small head of sauerkraut, 500 g minced meat, 5 tablespoons rice, 2 onions, savory, black pepper, paprika.

Method of preparation: Chop the cabbage and boil until soft. The onion is cleaned and chopped. Together with the rice and minced meat, fry in a little oil.

Season with red and black pepper. Mix all products in a pan, add water or cabbage broth and bake until the rice is cooked. Bare sarma is served warm.

Bare lean vine sarma

Necessary products: 20 vine leaves (fresh or sterilized from a jar), 1 onion, 1 tsp. rice, 1 tsp. red pepper, ⅓ tsp. oil, ½ connection dill.

Method of preparation: Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Pour the finely chopped onion into it and mix well. After about 1-2 minutes, add the rice.

Stir until the rice is glassy. Season with red pepper and ½ tsp. sol. To the mixture add the chopped vine leaves and 2 ½ tsp. water. Leave on low heat on the stove until the water boils and the rice is cooked.

When the dish is ready, add the finely chopped dill. Mix well. You can also add the juice of ½ lemon, if you want a more sour taste.
