The seventh edition of the Spanish Gastrofestival opened on January 23 and will run until February 7. This year's motto is Izyazh Madrid and various initiatives are included in the culinary program.
From this Monday, January 25, the Prado Museum in Madrid will offer visitors a free tour of the Tablecloth. Culinary paintings will be shown, mostly still lifes.
The works of art will give a clear idea of the traditions of table setting, utensils used and typical cuisine in the different geographical regions of Spain.
The events at Gastrofestival are organized and promoted by the Madrid Cusion International Culinary Congress and the City Hall of Madrid.
Many famous chefs will take part in the culinary festival, presenting their latest ideas and forecasts for new products and culinary techniques. With this, Madrid will become the culinary capital of the world in a few days.
The Gastrofestival will be open to private individuals in the world's second largest tourist exchange Fitur.
More than 400 companies, institutions and food establishments from all over the world will present their products. Most of the organized events will be free.
The center of the culinary festival will be the cultural center Conde Duque. There are prepared movie series, art workshops for children and adults, concerts, and the connecting element is always food.

This year's program also includes Dinner with the Stars, in which chefs from the international scene will visit various Madrid restaurants and prepare various dishes with a focus on truffles.
From the Deliveroo home delivery platform, they are organizing a competition for the best dish, and the prize for the winner will be 150 euros.
The National Museum of Romanticism will host a tea ceremony from the XIX century with a tasting of different types of tea.
