A culinary festival will take place once again in Lyaskovets, Veliko Tarnovo region. The feast begins today (September 19) and will last a whole week.
The beginning of the event will be set with a procession, which will start at 5.30 pm from the Museum of Emigrant Gardening to Vazrazhdane Square. Representatives of schools, community centers, kindergartens and retirement clubs will take part in the parade. Exactly at 18.00 a concert of the groups from the community center Napredak-1870 - Lyaskovets will start.
Tomorrow in Kozarevets will be held the traditional Festival of chicken soup, which will begin at 10.00. Only a few hours later it will become clear who is the best in preparing the iconic dish. On Sunday in Dzhulyunitsa the guests will be able to enjoy a culinary exhibition with a competitive character.
The tents of the participants in the Week of Local Culinary Diversity will be set up on Tuesday. The day will continue with a concert of children from kindergartens in Lyaskovets, which will start at 17.00. An hour later, viewers will be able to see the unique Fruit and Vegetable Mosaic, also the work of the youngest residents of Lyaskovo.
On Wednesday (September 24th) the guests of the festival will be able to watch how homemade lyutenitsa is made. It will be mixed by representatives of all settlements in the municipality (Lyaskovets, Dzhulyunitsa, Dobri Dyal, Kazarevets, Dragizhevo and Merdanya).
The cutting, roasting and peeling of the peppers, as well as all other processes necessary for the preparation of delicious lyutenitsa, will be carried out in the very center of Lyaskovets. In the hours between 17.00 and 19.00 all guests will be able to see the painted decorative pumpkins of Trifon Trifonov.
On Thursday (September 25) in the hall of Napredak 1870 will be presented the satirical play The Misunderstood Civilization of the Theater Group at the High School Maxim Rajkovic. The end of the culinary festival will be marked by a procession that starts at 5.30 pm on September 26 (Friday).
At 18.00 all participants in the Week of Local Culinary Diversity will be greeted by the Mayor of Lyaskovets Dr. Ivelina Getsova and a guest performer.
