S. Pellegrino Young Chef of 2016 is a global initiative in support of young talent. The goal of the global project is to find the best young chef in the world.
In 2016, the competition will be held for the second time. By regulation, the planet is divided into 20 main regions. These are Italy, France, Germany - Austria, Switzerland, Spain - Portugal, Great Britain - Ireland, Russia / Baltic States / former Soviet republics, Scandinavia (Norway / Sweden / Finland / Denmark), Eastern Europe, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Mediterranean countries, USA, Canada, Africa - Middle East, Latin America - Caribbean, Pacific (Australia / New Zealand / Pacific Islands), China, Japan, Northeast and Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
100 top chefs, who are juries in different countries, take part in the selection of staff. After a strict screening of the candidates, there are finally 20 finalists left, each with one mentor. They are judged by a star jury.
Registration for the prestigious world competition began on January 1, 2016. Anyone can apply to participate in the website of the organizers.
In 2015, the first edition of Young Chef was attended by over 3,000 people from around the world. The winner was 24-year-old Irishman Mark Moriatri.
In 2016, the contenders will have to face a new jury called the Seven Wise Men. It will feature some of the most famous culinary masters, such as Roberta Sudbrak, David Higgs, Willie Dufresne, Carlo Kraco, Mauro Colagreco, Gagan Arand and Elena Arzak.
The official 20 finalists will be announced by the end of August 2016. They will be gathered in Milan on October 13, 2016. There will be a two-day competition, after which the Seven Wise Men will broadcast S. Pellegrino Young Chef for 2016.

The festival began in the morning with a procession of brewers, and at noon the mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter started the traditional festival by opening a 200-year-old beer keg with a hammer.
The Big Iziaj Madrid Culinary Festival Has Started
