The cherries have reached their lowest prices since the beginning of the season and from BGN 5 per kilogram wholesale, BGN 3 is now available. This is a decrease of 31 percent.
According to the data of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets, the decrease in strawberries in the last week is also significant. The fruits are already sold for BGN 2.75 per kilogram wholesale, which is a decrease of 14%.
A decrease in the last week was also registered for apples, as on the stock exchanges their price per kilogram reached BGN 1.36.
The fall in the prices of vegetables continues, as for the last seven days the biggest decrease was noted by the imported tomatoes and cucumbers.
Imported tomatoes are traded at BGN 1.55 per kilogram, which makes them 1.9% cheaper than tomatoes produced in Bulgaria.
Bulgarian greenhouse tomatoes have also fallen in price by 9.7% and are now selling for BGN 1.86 per kilogram.
The reduction of Bulgarian cucumbers is by 0.5%, which makes their new price BGN 1.82 per kilogram. Imported cucumbers, on the other hand, are traded for only BGN 1.26 per kilogram wholesale.
However, at the expense of cheaper fruits and vegetables, cow's cheese is 1.1% more expensive and its wholesale price per kilogram is BGN 5.72. The values from last week of chicken meat, minced meat, oil, eggs and Vitosha type yellow cheese have been preserved.
