There are many types of mushrooms that offer a long list of health benefits. Although mushrooms may not be the number one menu for all of us, it's a good idea to consider including them more often in your lunch or dinner.
Note: If you have gout, do not eat mushrooms.

White sponge for weight loss and prevention against prostate cancer. This group includes mushrooms such as Portobello. White mushroom has a special carbohydrate that supports metabolism and maintains blood sugar levels. Strong metabolism means more fat burned. Taking three ounces a day for four to six weeks will lead to significant weight loss (this does not mean that exercise and a healthy diet are not required). These mushrooms are also high in selenium, which not only helps in weight loss, but has a positive effect on prostate cancer.
2. Shiitake
Shiitake can fight tumors. These aromatic mushrooms contain lentinan, which is a natural antitumor compound. It is used successfully by the Japanese in anti-cancer treatment. A 2011 study showed that shiitake reduced inflammation in the body. The researchers gave 52 healthy adults between the ages of 21 and 41 dried shiitake mushrooms for four weeks, eating 4 ounces daily. Through blood tests before and after the experiment, the researchers saw better functioning gamma delta T cells and a reduction in inflammatory proteins. Shiitake mushroom, on the other hand, is an excellent source of vitamin D and is important in fighting infection. 4 to 5 ounces a day is recommended.
3. Reishi
This fungus, which looks like a large brown and white flower, has the following properties: anti-cancer, antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal. In addition, Reishi mushrooms contain gandodermal acid, which helps lower cholesterol, which in turn can lower high blood pressure. A few ounces a day is a good addition to your diet.
4. Maitake
This mushroom helps with breast cancer. Maitake has anti-cancer, anti-viral and immune-boosting properties and can also help control both high blood pressure and blood sugar levels. A special study found that maitake mushroom extract proved to be very useful for people suffering from insulin resistance and diabetes. Half a cup of Maitake mushrooms a day can cleanse the body, find abnormal cells and force them to self-destruct. At the same time, they can release cells of the immune system that attack and kill malignant cells.
5. Kladnitsa
This type of mushroom (Oyster mushrooms) has been studied as a possible protection against HIV. Due to their high antioxidant ingredients, Kladnitsa mushrooms can be life-saving.
6. Pachi Krak
This fungus (Chanterelle) is associated with antimicrobial, bacterial and antifungal properties. They are also high in vitamin C, D and potassium. They contain natural concentrations of B vitamins, especially vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B5. These vitamins play a key role in converting food into energy and maintaining a healthy nervous system. In addition, mushrooms are high in fiber, keeping regular bowel movements and bowel health under control.
7. Porchini
Porcini is an anti-inflammatory agent - similar to Portobello and has been used successfully as an anti-inflammatory. Porcini contains the combined ergosterol, which is capable of cytotoxicity, which is the process of attacking enemy cells.
8. Shimeji
Shimeji fungi fight tumors, asthma and others. This type of mushroom is traditionally used in Japan as a protection against asthma. Shimeji have high levels of beta-glucans that suppress allergic reactions - such as recurrent asthma. Beta-glucans are also known to improve the natural healing ability of the immune system. According to the National Cancer Institute of Japan, this beta-glucan compound is also a successful means of slowing down and destroying growing tumors.
