The price of greenhouse tomatoes jumped by 47 percent in September. In the case of garden tomatoes, the increase in values is by 27 percent.

Cabbage also registered a serious rise in prices, increasing its wholesale values by 34% in 1 month. Prices of green peppers and potatoes increased by 7%.

In September, peaches and watermelons were also sold at higher prices, with a 25% increase per kilogram wholesale. On the other hand, apples and grapes were cheaper, falling by 7% and 12% respectively.

On an annual basis, cucumbers have risen by 36%, while the price of tomatoes has remained the same compared to September 2014.

Potatoes were sold 5.5% more expensive this year. Higher annual prices are also for green peppers and cabbage - by 11%.

In one month, the price of sugar increased by 5% and of flour - by 2.5%. The price of ripe beans decreases by 5%, and oil and eggs are traded unchanged.

Cheese was also 5.7% cheaper than at the end of August. The values of yellow cheese, butter, chicken and sausages remained unchanged.

On an annual basis, flour and rice rose by 2.5%, sugar - by 4.8% and oil - by 12.5%. Cow's cheese was traded cheaper - by 7.7% and Vitosha yellow cheese - by 19%.
