The Seiler diet is named after its author Anna Seiler. This method of eating is used in medical centers in Switzerland, where it helps people lose weight without exhausting their body and losing valuable nutrients. It consumes between 1200 and 1500 calories a day, in other words - the amount that our body needs to function normally not only in a passive but also in an active lifestyle.
The diet has no contraindications, but it has numerous benefits for the body. It reduces excess weight, improves blood circulation, speeds up metabolism, helps get rid of toxins and makes the skin smoother and more beautiful.
Starting to follow the Seiler diet, you will have to give up processed foods, pastries, chips, soft drinks, alcohol, pasta, fatty and fried foods. You will also need to drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water a day. It's also good to be active if you want to see results faster.
As already mentioned, the diet is based on an intake of about 1500 calories per day. This means that within 24 hours you can eat 200 lean meats (chicken, fish), 350 g of fruit, 500 g of vegetables, 70 g of wholemeal bread, up to 200 ml of milk, 1 egg, 30 g of butter, 30 g of low-fat cottage cheese. (or 15 g of cheese).
You are also allowed to drink coffee, but it should not exceed 300 ml. It is good to limit spices such as salt, sugar, fat. If you still want to use them, try not to exceed the amount of 1 pinch of salt or sugar and 1 trickle of olive oil per meal.
Here is a sample menu in which we give you an idea of how to distribute your products for one day so that you feel full and at the same time trigger your weight loss.
Breakfast: 100 g orange, 20 g butter, 1 boiled egg, 40 bread, 150 ml unsweetened coffee;
Lunch: 100 g lean vegetable salad of choice, 100 g roasted chicken, 200 roasted vegetables, 150 g apple;
Snack: 10 g butter, 30 g diet bread, 30 g low-fat cottage cheese, 150 ml coffee (optional);
Dinner: 100 g steamed vegetables, 100 g grilled mackerel, 100 g lettuce, 250 g apple, 100 ml milk.
Note: Follow the Seiler diet as long as you find it necessary. It is enough to monitor your calories and carefully plan your meals and the results will not be late. The more extra pounds you have, the more you will lose during the regimen.
There are no known contraindications to the Seiler diet, but still it is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation. If you are in such a period, it is best to consult a doctor before starting it.
And something else! If you have eaten well over 1,500 calories a day in your diet so far, you may feel tired, dizzy and lack of tone when you start the diet. But this will be only in the first days. Then your body will begin to adapt to its new diet and the change will not cause you such inconvenience.
