The researchers who conducted the study claim that this is the first such study - the experts are from the United States and Israel. Volunteers were used for the study - all 224 participants were diabetics and the lives of each of them were studied for two years.

It turns out that those who regularly consume a glass of wine have better cholesterol levels than other participants in the study.

The volunteers were divided into three groups, and the division was made depending on what alcohol they preferred to consume in the evening. One group of participants consumed white wine, the other did not drink alcohol but water, and the third preferred red wine.
