Once again, inedible meat was stopped by food chains.

As much as 300 kg of meat and meat products were banned during an inspection by inspectors from the Regional Directorate for Food Safety in Haskovo.

The action is jointly with representatives of the Economic Police Sector - Svilengrad.

The inspection was carried out in a fast food restaurant and a meat shop located in the parking lot of Generalovo, Svilengrad municipality.

A total of 6.2 kilograms of minced meat, lamb offal and beef kavrma were found in the fast food restaurant without any documents of origin and ultimately unfit for sale.

The meat shop found 200 kilograms of beef carcasses chilled, 16 kilograms of beef shank, 70 kilograms of frozen beef and 6 kilograms of butter without marking and labeling and without documents of origin.

The owners of both sites have been issued Administrative Violation Acts, as the entire amount of food of animal origin has been banned and is aimed at the destruction of the slaughterhouse.

A few days ago, nearly 39 tons of meat were confiscated by the Regional Directorate for Food Safety - Shumen. During an action and inspection of a warehouse for storage of fruits and vegetables in the village of Kochovo, Shoumen District, 20 tons of frozen frozen diaphragms and 19 tons of mutton were found, without the necessary accompanying documents.

The entire amount of mutton is intended for the destruction of the slaughterhouse.

The submitted commercial documents for the pig diaphragms comply with the normative requirements and the meat is released, and the owner of the production and the owner of the warehouse will be issued an Act for establishing an administrative violation.
