In recent weeks, a complex of factors has led to an unprecedented rise in the price of eggs at this time of year. These are the crisis with the poisonous substance fipronil, bird flu and increased exports.
In just a few days, there were places in the country where the value of products jumped by a shocking 30 percent. At the wholesale price in just one week, eggs have increased in value by nearly 12 percent.
The most affected are Blagoevgrad and Kyustendil, where the increase is most serious. The new prices of eggs are an unpleasant surprise for both consumers and sellers.
