Cursed, or devil's wine - so champagne was known until the seventeenth century, when the monk Dom Perignon remembered that to avoid secondary fermentation, the drink should be poured into bottles.

Until then, the secondary fermentation caused the barrels of sparkling wine from the Champagne region in France to explode. He is also the author of the wire that holds the champagne cap.

In honor of the monk "Moet and Shandon" released in 1936 champagne with his name. It is pale yellow in color, smells of apricot and honey with a very faint smoky smell.

To be called sparkling wine champagne, it must not only be produced in the famous French region of Champagne, but be created from one of the following varieties of high quality grapes: "Pinot Noir", "Chardonnay" or "Pinot Menie".

It matures for at least a year and a half, after which a special rotation is made. Every day, the bottles in which the champagne is spilled rotate slightly until their throats are down. The precipitate is then removed without mixing with the beverage.

To open the champagne so that you don't flood everyone around you, loosen the wire and turn the bottle slightly to release the cap.

And remember - champagne is served in special glasses, on a stool and very narrow. In this way, the bubbles stay in the cup longer.
